Ken served in the RAF for four years working on the electrical systems of aircraft, during which time 2 ½ years were spent in India in Transport Command.
Upon demobilisation he joined Bush Radio Limited Chiswick, part of the Rank Organisation, in the Shipping Department, staying there for 29 years. After amalgamation with Murphy Radio Ken spent a few years as manager of their Shipping Department at Welwyn Garden City eventually returning to the Chiswick site.
Having being made redundant he spent some years with a freight forwarder at Heathrow. When that company folded he was employed at Isleworth Crown Court recording proceedings. Whilst living in Isleworth Ken trained as a teacher of Ballroom and Latin American dancing and went on to teach in Adult Education for 11 years.
He moved to Hook on retirement and current interests include bowling, gardening and running an afternoon tea dance at Hartley Wintney. Having a life-long interest in aircraft he has been a member of the Friends of the RAF Museum at Hendon for many years.
