Jim spent forty years employed in the education service in Surrey including two headships. During his teaching career he was also involved in the Youth Service and contributed to religious education in the Diocese of Guildford.
Jim was a member of two local drama groups and the local Operatic Society where his role was strictly non singing!
On retirement Jim took up a new career working for twelve years in the Debenhams store in Guildford in customer services and the finance department. Now completely retired he has his last link with education through a school governing body and fills the rest of his time with U3A activities, theatre visits, gardening, overseas travel and of course, the Probus Club of Fleet.
